International law is a natural outflow of the global mindset of attorney Kline Preston. As part of his undergraduate education, he studied in Leningrad, U.S.S.R., in 1989. His bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville was in Russian language and literature.

Kline Preston has practiced law both in the U.S. and in the Russian Federation for almost thirty years. He has had the privilege to work on legislative bills in Russia, some of which have become law. He has served as an election observer in four Russian elections: the 2011 Parliamentary elections, the 2012 Presidential elections, the 2016 Parliamentary elections, and the 2018 Presidential Election.

As a result of his legal work in Russia, he is honored to have been awarded the Nikolai Girenko Award for his contributions to Russian civil law. He is a member of the Association of Russian Jurists. Additionally, in 2014, he was awarded the Order of the Russian Nation for his contributions to Russian-American relations by the Russian Senate.

In the U.S., he has represented a U.S. Congressman on different matters with international and domestic dimensions, ranging from business matters to actions before the Federal Election Commission (FEC). He holds licenses in the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, various federal district courts and the Supreme Court of Tennessee.
